“Suite for Ma Dukes” Live Orchestra Dilla Tribute – Feb 22
This month marked the 3 year anniversary passing of the great James Yancey aka J-Dilla. To go along with the many number of tribute projects, the creative minds of Carlos Nino and Miguel Atwood Ferguson put together an orchestral interpretation entitled “A Suite for Ma Dukes.” A 4 Song EP has been released via iTunes while the full album drops in April. All proceeds will go to Jay Dee’s mom Ma Dukes. If you’re in Los Angeles Feb 22, catch the project live in a 36 piece orchestra at the Harriet and Charles Luckman Fine Arts Complex.
