OPENING CEREMONY
Beverly Center is again the epicenter for Fashion’s Night Out, L.A. At 5pm, the 2nd Annual Opening Ceremony kicks off the fashion extravaganza with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa as host, along with Vogue’s Lisa Love and celebrity co-hosts. A massive LED jumboscreen will display the ceremony and runway for three-level viewing.

RED CARPET ARRIVALS
BMW is the proud presenter of FNO at Beverly Center. The Grand Valet Arrivals and Red Carpet will include fashion’s elite: celebrities, costume designers, stylists and Hollywood insiders. OBIKÀ Mozzarella Bar will provide the newest Italian eating experience in the exclusive Green Room, featuring Pisco Portón specialty cocktails.

LUXURY FASHION SHOW
Following the Opening Ceremony, at 5:30pm, take in a Luxury Fashion Show on the Beverly Center runway with the hottest fall looks from our newest stores. The front row will be filled with celebrities, stylists, press, bloggers, top clients and more. This year marks Beverly Center’s second year as the main hub of FNO LA.

I had the pleasure of backpacking it through Costa Rica with my crew for 9 days filled with adventure and shenanigans. After landing in San Jose, we trekked through Monteverde, Santa Teresa, and Puerto Viejo. Each city visited was a total different experience from the next. Last but not least, we got to throw down a DJ set with the Chicago bredren/tour guide/DJ MadAdam at Mango’s in Puerto Viejo where he now resides. The bar was packed and the tunes were current Top 40, but soon they were treated to a classic hip hop set from 2pac to Biggie. Pictures coming soon!

After a whole week of sun, sand, and lots of hummus, I managed to squeeze in a DJ set at the yearly T-Market event at the Barzilay Club. What is T-Market? I asked myself that when I got booked by the homie Elad. It’s an outdoor fashion festival of up and coming brands and vendors selling all kinds of fresh gear (think the Israeli Funk Rumble). I mean as soon as I arrived, River Ocean “Love and Happiness” and Roy Ayers was blasting out the speakers. Ahhh I was home. Shouts to Elad Ron, Zebra Music, and Tokimonsta who I caught at Shesek Lounge.

Big Ups to The Local Branch for those fresh T’s!

Fashion’s Night Out is an unprecedented global initiative started in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and put the fun back in shopping.
