I had the pleasure of backpacking it through Costa Rica with my crew for 9 days filled with adventure and shenanigans. After landing in San Jose, we trekked through Monteverde, Santa Teresa, and Puerto Viejo. Each city visited was a total different experience from the next. Last but not least, we got to throw down a DJ set with the Chicago bredren/tour guide/DJ MadAdam at Mango’s in Puerto Viejo where he now resides. The bar was packed and the tunes were current Top 40, but soon they were treated to a classic hip hop set from 2pac to Biggie. Pictures coming soon!

After a whole week of sun, sand, and lots of hummus, I managed to squeeze in a DJ set at the yearly T-Market event at the Barzilay Club. What is T-Market? I asked myself that when I got booked by the homie Elad. It’s an outdoor fashion festival of up and coming brands and vendors selling all kinds of fresh gear (think the Israeli Funk Rumble). I mean as soon as I arrived, River Ocean “Love and Happiness” and Roy Ayers was blasting out the speakers. Ahhh I was home. Shouts to Elad Ron, Zebra Music, and Tokimonsta who I caught at Shesek Lounge.

Big Ups to The Local Branch for those fresh T’s!

This is a video project made for Steven Spielberg and is filmed by Clara Aranovich (USC Film).

This was shot as live-action stop-motion using the Canon 5D at The Association in Downtown LA. The final film was built from a total of 1515 still frames taken on location.
